What it is / what it is not

What it is

  • A spreadsheet for UK sole traders and landlords, tax year 6 April 2026 to 5 April 2027.
  • Income, expenses, mileage, capital items, a VAT watch and quarterly totals you can copy into bridging software.
  • Categories aligned to SA103F and SA105 as closely as practical, so an accountant can map the year.
  • Yours to keep in Excel or Google Drive.

What it is not

  • Not tax advice.
  • Not HMRC-recognised software.
  • It cannot send quarterly updates or a tax return to HMRC.
  • If you must use Making Tax Digital for Income Tax, pair it with bridging software from GOV.UK’s compatible-software list.

You are responsible for your own records and filings. Confirm rates, thresholds and box numbers on GOV.UK for the year you file.

Your numbers never leave your file

We do not host your books. Buyers keep the spreadsheet on their own computer or Google Drive. Nothing is sent to us. We never receive income, expenses, mileage, or tenant details from the workbook.

Optional notes on the Setup sheet. The file does not ask for a National Insurance number, UTR, bank logins, or tenant names as required fields.

The app (coming)

iPhone and desktop. Local-first. Books stay on the device. Optional encrypted backup you control.

The waitlist is for the app (and product updates). The spreadsheet is a separate file you keep.

If optional cloud sync is ever added it will be UK/EU servers, encrypted, export + delete, no selling data, no training models on your books, and ICO registration if we become a data controller.

If you email us, we receive only what you send — typically your name and email — so we can tell you when the app (or an update) is ready. We do not collect financial data through this page. You can ask to be removed by emailing the same address.
